As we get going into the new year , once the holidays are done and we find ourselves facing January and February in Colorado you may find it hard to stay active in the cold weather. Even though it takes some effort it is very beneficial to stay active the best that you can. Even taking a walk once or twice a day can be enough to keep from loosing too much muscle and stiffening up. Walking is a great exercise since it is low impact but has lots of benefit. Adding a few thousand steps into your daily routine can add to your health level. If you can’t take a 20 or 30 minute walk, no problem. Even taking a couple smaller walks add up and can be a great addition to your routine. Just watch out for the ice out there.
